November 29, 2012
I ventured into the Victorian High Country on a tag-a-long-tour recently in
my Suzuki Grand Vitara. I have a standard vehicle - highway tires
and no suspension lift, so each of the water crossings were
treated with extra caution. This one above had a deep hole on the
left so choosing the exact line to cross and exit was critical.
We tarped the front of the vehicle to ensure water did not enter.
As an added precaution, Tony added the snatch strap. We went through very easily.
This water crossing had a stone base. There were lots of scrapes on
the rocks were previous vehicles had approached and
or departed to quickly or on the wrong angle. Again no problems at all.
At the end of the day it was great to come back to this
lovely campsite in the Buckland Valley for a sundowner
and chat about the day.
